Summertime at the Craft Fair

We’re back after an incredibly long blog silence! Welcome to my new followers from craft shows or word-of-mouth or whatever brings you to my page. It’s been a while since I last posted, not for lack of action on my part, but a lack of blog post topics. I’ll work on being better at that going forward.

So, where have we been? Amazing craft shows with views like this!

Our most recent show, the Canandaigua Lakefront Art Show, is definitely one we’ll be visiting again. How could you turn down an office view like that?

I’ve had a lot of good commissions come my way this year from customers at craft shows. Jewelry orders have been particularly common, including this charm for a bracelet to celebrate a graduation:

…and a new version of my mica leaf pendants, incorporating genuine sterling silver and resin!

At Arts on Genesee, I was commissioned for a large wedding memento, which allowed me to make my very first clay motorcycle:

The warm summer weather has inspired a lot of new work as well, as I expand my my experience with seashells and resin and worked on some new, smaller sculptures – sea monsters!

What’s next? My last two shows of the summer – the Believe in Syracuse Arts and Culture Festival and the Mabee Farms Arts and Crafts Festival – are coming up fast, and I have a few more commissions to start for the holiday season. Beyond that, the online shop will be updated in the next few weeks, and I’ll try to keep the blog posts coming as well.

I hope you’re all enjoying your summer, and maybe I’ll see a few of you at an upcoming craft fair.
